Does anybody care about this fight?
Me personally, I gotta give this fight a huge.... WHOOOO CARES (echoing: cares cares cares cares)!
I'm just fed up with big name fighters and crappy match ups right now.

EVERYONE I've talked to is going to be opting to watch Juanma vs Rafael Marquez on Showtime that night and saving their Money.
This isn't even a good regular HBO fight It shows Ross Greenburg and HBO have balls the size of mustard seeds when saying No to Golden Boy. Nobodies given a shit about Sergio Mora since losing the Forrest rematch (which righted one of the biggest flukes in recent memory), have you heard even ONE FAN inquire as to what's going on with the "Latin Snake"?
I know that some people will look at the undercard and see that as a selling point, and I must admit that Saul Alvarez-Carlos Baldomir is somewhat interesting, but Vivian Harris has really slipped and it shows how far down he's dropped that GBP would bring him in for Ortiz, and Miguel Roman has been about a .500 fighter the last couple years and probably NOT going to test Ponce De Leon much.
In Summation: Save your money. When it comes to Billy C's "Buy or Don't Buy" segment, it's a no brainer. I can't think of many matchups that I'd want to see LESS than this snoozer, much less pay for it.

This is actually an interesting fight...For one it will tell us where Mosley really is...Is he really past it or was Floyd just too much for him...Though we all know he is not the Mosley of prime but he did spend a bit of time at 154.... Mora is a spolier...He is a better then average fighter who has some shitty managerial relations...This guy could have been a really big name by now but was kept to his Contender fame status due to marketing money to be made by NBC....... but at least these guys are fightiong in the ring and not cry babing in the negotiations room

I like the card also ... I like Mora and think he is a difficult matchup for anyone ... I have to agree 100% with Daxx here ... I will certainly buy this PPV and record JuanMa too ... it doesn't have to be either or with today's TV

Sorry Daxx, but I disagree. I don't know that there was ever going to be a point where Sergio Mora was going to be a big name, the short nature of the Contender fights helped him win the initial season and he's lived off it ever since. To me, he's lucky to have had Golden Boy behind him, he's a ESPN-lifer that's benefited from 1. the spotlight on those around him and 2. Not being in the Ring (10 years a Pro and just 25 fights).
He's a better than average fighter, I agree there, but NOT THAT MUCH better. I mean, the guy fought a Draw with Elvin Ayala and wasn't remotely competitive in the rematch with a 38 year old Forrest, who was seven years down the road from the one Shane fought twice. Sorry, I don't think a win by Mosley would mean a whole hell of a lot really.
But hey, if you guys want to buy it, perhaps I'm wrong and it will do well. Shane's never really sold a PPV on his own before, mostly relying on the opponent for that, and a Reality Show Star who never really caught on in the other corner.....I just don't think people have money to flush like that ;D

I sense we're going to get a mutal respect, boring ass sparring session out of this. But if You and Daxx buy it and enjoy it, then I'll be genuinely happy for you......hell, I might even watch the HBO replay the next week, if they bother showing it

this is whats crazy about Boxing..i won't pay a dime for Mosley-Mora, but I probably would pay 50.00 for Juanma-Marquez if it cost that lol mosley-mora would be a suitable HBO after dark, nothing more. Its not a good enough fight to be on shobox

Lets face it....Mosley-Mora, may be a decent match-up in seeing where future HOFer Mosley is today, BUT...he is STILL 39 and in his "swan song". AT BEST...two fights left. A win over Mora WILL get him another payday only because it was a win. With all of that said, there is NO WAY that this is worth a PPV. I am sure Daxx will agree (who cares about hansen! LOL) that it's not worth PPV, but it is a decent fight for Mosley. To me, this is not even as good as Klitschko-Peter which is going to be on ESPN...so, to me...Mosley-Mora is ESPN quality...or even HBO or ShowTime at BEST. HOWEVER....here is the real question....what does this fight do for Mora? If he wins, would people want to see him against a big name? I wouldn't! I think he is almost worthless in fan interest. Shane is another story....he is a hall of famer and one of my Fav's, but like I always say....these guys just don't know when to say when.

I spend the money that normally would have gone to a PED-Man fight but since the crap Arum wants to give us along with his Steroid Man is usually crap I will spend it on watching Alvarez & Ortiz ... I do agree that Mosley-Mora is an HBO after dark fight but I'd rather watch it then the circus clowns that bobble head is fighting

Agreed, my comments in my first post should have included the fact that as a PPV this is shit but just as a fight card itself and a fight itself for Mosley it is not bad at all IMO but sadly enough today the damn PPV's are popping up everywhere...I mean C'Mon man the shit between Tua and Barrett was a PPV.....That made a Roy Jones PPV seem legit ........ And yes I agree witrh you Billy Shane for as much as I like him as well is going to be another ATG who does not know when to hang them up.....Sadly enough they kill all they accomplished for years to come because they are remembered for what they did their last 3 or 4 outings until they are talked about in an ATG sense... They can't all be like Lennox and know when to bow out gracefully while still on top of the game

Again though in my opp it is because of sucking up as much of the contender fam,e status and money to be made off what was accomplished in the show as possible... I another aspect I think that Gomez and Manfredo who have not won world titles actually accomplished more as fighters after the show then Mora...Gomez became a top 10 ranked WW in a legit sense and made a solid place for himself as a B level fighter who is more then a gate keeper but just under elite if that makes sense....Manfredo though had a terrible experience in the UK for the Calzaghe bout (I felt for the guy I did not think he would win but they did not give him a fair shake in that stoppage either, Calslappies punches were landing at the same power of a 10yr old in a slap fight)...Manfredo has been able to make himself a local celeb and local fighting favorite that will acrry him for a long time to come in the NE area long after he retires...Possibly enough to get dental work

It's a exercise simply intended to maintain a 39 year olds PPV Status, and amazingly taking place ON A PPV!!! This is what Cable used to be used for. Sergio Mora is like a stage prop in this one, if the aging star Shane forgets his lines and can't carry the Show anymore, Mora is still background scenery.
