Like I said in my post above Dave I should have mentioned that as a PPV this card is not worthy but in general I still think it is a decent matchup.....Mora has been such an up amnd down fighter because in truth when has he dedicated himself to the sport full time? Again though in my opp it is because of sucking up as much of the contender fam,e status and money to be made off what was accomplished in the show as possible... I another aspect I think that Gomez and Manfredo who have not won world titles actually accomplished more as fighters after the show then Mora...Gomez became a top 10 ranked WW in a legit sense and made a solid place for himself as a B level fighter who is more then a gate keeper but just under elite if that makes sense....Manfredo though had a terrible experience in the UK for the Calzaghe bout (I felt for the guy I did not think he would win but they did not give him a fair shake in that stoppage either, Calslappies punches were landing at the same power of a 10yr old in a slap fight)...Manfredo has been able to make himself a local celeb and local fighting favorite that will acrry him for a long time to come in the NE area long after he retires...Possibly enough to get dental work Daxx- Agree 100%, the Contender Experience serves a purpose and I have upmost respect for the guys like Peter Manfredo, Alfonso Gomez, and even somebody like K-9 Bunderage who won a world title last night by KO'ing Corey Spinks in St.Louis. They know their limitations but earn my deep respect by trying to overacheive and put their heart and soul into it. It's why THEY have Fans, and why a Sergio Mora simply does not. The only thing I've seen Mora doing is hanging around on De La Hoya's Shoulder and thinking he belonged in the same circle as DLH, Mosley, Hopkins, while at the same time seeming to actually avoid having/wanting to showcase his skills, content to travel in the glorified stratus that he didn't really earn and (IMO) knows he doesn't deserve. Fans KNOW the difference.

Agreed, my comments in my first post should have included the fact that as a PPV this is shit but just as a fight card itself and a fight itself for Mosley it is not bad at all IMO but sadly enough today the damn PPV's are popping up everywhere...I mean C'Mon man the shit between Tua and Barrett was a PPV.....That made a Roy Jones PPV seem legit ........ Daxx- Absolutely. Remember when a PPV meant a fight that was too big for premium cable? Now it's things that they take a pass on. It's completely turned around with stuff like JC Chavez Jr.'s repeated PPV's, the Roy Jones things with Ajamu, Hanshaw, and finally the stale BHOP rematch, and I recall a Kelly Pavlik one from Youngstown not that long ago, a Tua-Barrett that had an atrocious undercard. Hell, by the new lower PPV Standards of the day, maybe Golden Boy is giving us TOO MUCH here

Hell, by the new lower PPV Standards of the day, maybe Golden Boy is giving us TOO MUCH here Yeah they are spoiling us ha ha...You make valid points, personally I always attributed the Jones PPV's as his arrogance of being such a good fighter for so long and being such a lousy draw...I think Jones though put out the PPV's himself teses others that are crap are being done by MAJOR promoters who should be ashamed of themselves for even having the nerve... The Tua PPV was in need for Tua to recoup some of his money that he has lost after being screwed by his managers..like you said though the unndercard could have at least been local civic cnter show worthy ... I remember when the REALLLY big fights were on ABC WWOS...hell thats how you knew it was a big fight.... These reasons are why UFC kicks boxings ass in PPVs and are able to throw so many of them with success...They give better cards with the fact they give away one PPV worthy card a month on spike TV...They know how to please fans and how to have their fans forgive them for a bad show now and again

Daxx- Hold onto your hat, I see Adamek-Grant is a PPV now too. Actualy, I started thinking "just where else is that fight going to air if not for PPV?". There's no boxing on Versus Channel anymore, where several Adamek fights have aired, it's too big a fight for the small budget that ESPN uses (according to Johnny Bos, they only pay in the 25K range on average), you can't put it on Showbox because they're not prospects, and neither HBO or Showtime is going to put on something with Michael Grant in the Main Event. It kind of falls through the cracks and becomes a PPV by default
