OK PBF is obnoxious enough without Don King but imagine having to listen to him with the flag bearing lunatic behind him and the plaster smiles?...
Not sure exactly HOW TRUE it is they made a deal for 100 mill 4 fight deal sounds a bit over the top in my opinion considering the only fight anyone wants to see Flpoyd in is the Pacquiao fight....
Anyone know the details of this rumor? From people I spoke with it depends on the fact IF King can get the Pacquiao fight inked...The Floyd will sign....BUT what is his current obligations with GBP? Is he just on a fight by fight basis? I thought they had a multi fight deal inked to share with Floyds promo company?
No matter what the idea of the two of them on TV in interviews is enough to make me turn MMA diehard in a second (YES THEY ANNOY ME THAT MUCH>>>I ACTUALLY WATCH FLOYDS FIGHTS WITH THE SOUND OFF)
So who has the inside scoop if anyone other then what is already on the rumor mill?

LOL, Floyd will discover that $100 Million in King Dollars will translate into about $60 Million MAYBE Don always fills these guys heads with figures that can't be acheived and then poor mouths how well the event did or claims poverty, and usually cons them into signing a new contract or restructuring something. What's funny about this exchange is that he's not stealing Floyd from someone else, but instead from HIMSELF. I'm sure he's talking up all kinds of wonderful things that can be done in addition to Floyd's actual fights, and how he'll merge DKP with Mayweather Promotions and be equal partners..........but what they'll actually be equal partners in is Mayweather Promotions If anybody has any Laundry to do, then contact Floyd Mayweather, because he's about to be taken to the Cleaners

What I think is funny is that Arum says there is no way they could make the Mayweather/Pac fight for November now because it wouldn't allow enough time for marketing.
Just goes to show you Arum doesn't want this fight ... They could set the fight for this Saturday night and it would do 3 million buys.

For example, his only being retired for 21 months following his two biggest paydays ever and being forced to return due to IRS Debt. His saying he was going to be a Billionaire at the time when he was bordering on not even being a Millionaire anymore. Don't buy into Floyd's lifestyle, I seriously doubt he actually owns ANYTHING when you do some good looking into it. It's ALL a Front, and Kings a Master manipulator and usually finds all his guys weak spots to exploit. As for knowing what kind of guy Don is, well that's nothing new, a lot of guys knew and still got swindled, and if he does, then why's he even looking to him?

EHH getting the money Dave and keeping it are 2 differenrt things...Sad part is most fighters have others handle these things for them and usually it is a friend or someone less then qualified.....I agree King is the master at getting people to share stakes with him then walk away with the lions share but like I said I HOPE Floyd is smarter then that but if not then just like he runs his mouth too much he will end up running a 7/11 to keep a float after his career is over

You see....I bet King DOES get Mayweather 4 fights for 100 mill....but when Fayweather finds out King made $500 Mill, he will tell everyone that he was ripped off! That is what these fighters do. The truth is, if this IS true...more power to BOTH of them. I think that King, as he is today, is more inclined to put his fighters in TOUGH fights SO he can make the max coin. If this IS true....you can bet your last dollar that King and Arum will kiss and put together a Pac-Fay fight early 2011.

Sorry, Billy, but I think the bloom is off the fight, even if they make it in May. Hell, I'm not so sure Margacheato doesn't throw a wrench into the works, Manny was talking just the past weekend in his column about hoping Mayweather takes the November date, he's not even in the loop on his own decisions. Your fighting Margo in three months, Manny, you better start thinking about it and not things that are just imaginary. All you need is to have it someplace where the Inspectors don't inspect that well, and you've got a knockout. I can't stand Margarito, but I think he presents some problems in this fight.

Unless Mayweather signs with Arum ... my guess is Arum won't make this fight. Everyone hates Mayweather so it is easy for Arum to blame him. Hell this time he claimed to negotiate with Mayweather's camp only to find out that he just talked with Greenburg from HBO and the Mayweather haters ate it up.
When the rumor started about Mayweather and King and the November date Arum quickly said that it is too late to promote a November bout ... really Bob? Like I said earlier the fight could be tomorrow night and it would get 3 million buys.
Arum making the comment about spending the money to build up his fighters and he isn't about to share it once they start bringing big money in speaks volumes. Hopefully King can do something because I guarantee as long as Mayweather is with GBP this fight will never be made.

I still stand by my contention that Bob Arum will NEVER work with Floyd Mayweather no matter who the intermediary is. Floyd can't make a fight of any interest BESIDES Pacquaio, and Arum knows it.....just as he knows he makes more with Manny fighting two guys from his stable than one escapee. Arum will want PBF to Crawl, and he'll never do that. Look for 2011 to include more of the same, Billy, I think Boxing fans aren't even looking to the "May Date" anymore, we've kind of moved on. This reminds me of the Bowe-Lewis fight that was so big that it simply had to be made......and then never was.

Like I said earlier the fight could be tomorrow night and it would get 3 million buys. In this economy, and I don't expect 2011 to be any banner year full of economic recovery, there's no fight that I think can come close to De La Hoya-Trinidad's record 2.3 Million, much less this nonsense about a 3 Million buy rate. Besides, Roger doesn't even go on Trial until October and with his chances of walking being at best marginal, and Floyd's loyalty to him being solid (what's he going to do, go back to the nightmare that was his Dad's being lead Trainer?), then we just might be talking about Roger not even being available in 2011. I don't Floyd fights without him in the BEST of negotiating circumtances, and lets face it, this AREN'T them

my point, obviously, was that the fight doesn't need 6 months of promotion time like Arum is claiming. Doesn't matter it is just one excuse after another for Arum. He knows he can get away with it because people hate Mayweather so they will take any reason (made up or not) to blame him for the fight not happening.
Sucks that at this point I am in the position of rooting for Margarito ... I won't do that so instead I just won't buy it.
