After listening to BillyC radio program yesterday, and him giving his top 17 fighters of all time.I came to realize he has a thing about British fighters in particular, being not one mentioned in his top 17 picks.I would like to mention a few fighters from the UK that would be in most unbiased historians list of top fighters of all time.Jimmy Wilde greatest Flyweight ever,Jim Dricoll crossed the pond and took Abe Attle to the cleaners but never got a title shot.Owen Moran,,,Benny Lynch,to name just a few. And god forbid he did not mention the likes of Les Darcy Australian,George Carpentier France. And come on BillyC no Lennox Lewis or David Haye shame on you.

HA HA HA...Lennox Lewis...Thank You for being another to mention him....I have been in that debate with Billy since day 1.....I have to say Wilde would eailsy belong on that list with little resistance from most historians or educated fans....
NOW the fact you mentioned David Haye not being mentioned spoiled the whole validity of your post....Haye is no ATG...Haye is not even a top 20 P4P fighter right now...;.Wins over a chin shakey Mormeck, Enzo and the Lumbering Loaf don't make P4P material....

Daxx, as much as it pains me to say it I totally agree! I love David Haye the boxer, but the mouth and now his hiding is pretty embarrassing! He led me to believe he would face the very best and beat them. Now he's become a laughing stock!

I can't think of any reason that Jimmy Wilde wouldn't be included in anyone's ATG top 10 let alone top 17

DAVID....you crack me up!!! I DO have Driscoll in my top 35 if that makes you feel any better! You know I love the English fighters....but there were so many greats! To be honest, there are a lot of guys that "could" be on someone's top 20 P4P list....
NOW...HAYE....LOL....and Tontb....NEVER will Haye become an all-time great. In my opinion, in order to become an all-time great, you have to AT LEAST fight the best fighters that are around during your era. Haye did chase the Klits around only to hide like a girl. We can complain about it all we want, but the truth is, it shows the type of guy he is....he wants the most money for the least amount of risk. Do I blame him? NO....but the price he will pay will be the ATG P4P Status....just like guys like Fayweather....he too won't ever get on mine, unless for the next two years he fights EVERYONE....win-lose or draw, THAT would put him up there to me.

You guys aren't going to beleive this, but I'm not making it up. In his book Boxings Greatest Fighters, Burt Sugar has Jimmy Wilde at 18th (I kid you not). What are the odds?

Hey I will admit I was EXCITED AS THE CHURCH LADY SELLING JAM when Haye went to the heavyweight division full time I really though some good matchupos that did not contain a Klitschko would be made and the division would circulate a bit more but....He did what he did and we all know that Haye went from a fighter who could have shook things up to a fighter that should just shut up!!!
