I got thinking about the Sultan after hearing about Briggs/Vitali a few weeks ago and with all the new heavyweights appearing(Not saying good heavyweights just names) on the scene...Plus heavyweights being more the normal size of 6'1-6'3 220-230lbs I believe the Sultan would be at the top of the heap if he was fighting still.....I think size wise he would still cost him against the Brothers but I think he would out box Haye...I would love to see a fight between him and Chambers,,,,It would be a genuine technical boxing match something the HW division has not seen in years....A fight against Adamek would also be a good one

Nah he was clueless against Wlad! Just as shit as the rest of the crop. It is more or less a curiosity as it seems everyone is clueless against the Brothers these days ...Sultan was the last average size HW that had a decent run so I guess that is the curiosity

I don't know man....stick to LL! LOL One of these days you are going to have no choice but to admit the greatness of Lennox Lewis...I mean when you actually look back on his career and watch how he evolved....He went from a young fighter full of piss and acid to a master ring tactician who was one of boxings smartest fighters in the ring ...The video speaks for itself Billy...

I would say that Ruslan Chagaev was the last average size HW to make a good run and is far far better than Sultan ... that said they both got blown out by Wlad.

Both were not just similar in Size, but also were Southpaws, interestingly enough. I thought Ibragamov a little bit faster while Chagaev might've had a bit more power. but I sure don't see Chagaev being all that much better, that's for sure.

I was never impressed with Sultan ... he seemed to do just enough to get by in most fights ... an absolute pitiful performance against Ray Austin. I have never really seen him be impressive in his fights unless you count his win against Holyfield which I don't.
I have been more impressed with Ruslan. I would pick Ruslan in a fight with Haye where as I think Haye would KO Sultan. I really don't think I am alone in that either (BILLY C)

I'd forgot about that Austin performance where he was very luck to get a questionable draw. I did think Holyfield was a good fight for him, and that Evander fought one of his better late career efforts. As for Klitschko, there's little doubt in my mind that had Klit been willing to take ANY chances, then he'd have stopped Sultan as well.
