I am REALLY shocked that people are even TALKING about a Mayweather-Guerrero fight...but what shocks me more is that our current poll is becoming closer...60% say NO...40% say yes as of Thanksgivng Day Morning....what do YOU think??

I love the Ghost, but it's insane to think he has a prayer of lasting the full 12 against Floyd, much less actually being competitive. He's two, bordering on three, divisions lighter and he can't match speed with the bigger man. Can someone among our 40% explain to me a winning game plan for the Ghost?

I agree with you Murph...I love the Ghost too and his and his wife's story...but Mayweather kills him. Hey...I know ONE of the 40%....I won't mention his name but he wears Carl Froch underwear!

LOL, BC. I wear Froch tshirts too!
But, seriously. I don't see a problem with the fight. Not right now though. Maybe in a year's time because he hasn't even fought above 135lbs yet and he's out injured. The same can be said of Amir Khan too. I think he'd be a great opponent for Floyd but not just yet because he hasn't fought at 147lbs yet. I don't think either guy gets beaten easily by Floyd but i do think Floyd starts as overwhelming favourite in both.
Floyd could fight Bradley next in the spring. Then say Amir Khan in the winter and finally Guerrero in early 2013. Or swap Guerrero and Khan.
It's unlikely Floyd will even fight 3 times in the next 15 months though. I do think it's too soon for Guerrero NOW but not in 8-12 months time.

I can see Khan because he WILL go to 147....but not the Ghost...he is a light weight and wants to move to Jr WW...I honestly think his operation on his shoulder did not work out the way they planned and he is looking for a payday. I can see Fay fight Martinez, Pac, Khan or even Timothy Bradley....but not Robert Guerrero.

Billy C.- I was listening to a interview with Guererro on "another Radio Show" earlier tonight, and I hate to admit it, but The Ghost isn't as outlandish as I initisally thought. Hey, NOBODY under MW is going to beat Mayweather (IMO), so is The Ghost going to do any worse than the others like Khan, Bradley, or that ridiculous idea to fight Erik Morales? Probably Not. The only competitive fight (IMO) is Martinez.......all the rest is tied for Last Place (as in, don't bother waking me for it).

After Khan's not too stellar performance against Lamont Peterson this past weekend i think his own chances of fighting Mayweather Jr anytime soon have dwindled and i stick to my opinion that Guerrero would make a good fight.

True, but even watching him struggle against Peterson, I can't get over that the Ghost isn't a JWW. I still don't like the Ghosts chances vs Khan, and neither one is going to ever get near Mayweather now.
