its sad because now all it takes to get a world title shot is two fights...it does not matter who its against. SO...what that means is whoever has the $$$ to pay for a few opponents...they get a title shot. What does that say about our so-called Champions of today?

Did you hear BJ bitching about not having a full six weeks to get ready (At least I could understand that one) and only being offered $25K ......how many times has he made more than that? Probably just the one fight with Danny Green, right? I know he likely didn't make that for the fight I saw him in Chicago (on the undercard of Vargas-Castillejo) and those are probably the two biggest crowds he's fought in front of, and I SERIOSULY doubt he's been making that for all the horseshit fights he's had in Springfield, Missouri. If anybodies paid more than $25K to have had BJ on their card then they're idiots.

Well just 2 fights is a bit over exaggerated but still point made, It is not only the amount of fights but quality of opp as well at least if the 2-10 guys they beat were top notch but today they get away with 8 fights against guys with under a 500 resume and STILL GET THE TITLE SHOT!!! Since this topic contains the initials BJ....I guess we could say it is not who you beat or even who you know but who you BLOW!!! I mean what other reasonable explinantion can there be!!

BC- No, he actually had THREE Stooges that rolled into Springfield, Missouri to be cannon fodder on BJ's supposed "comeback trail". You knew about Ianuzzi and Hugo Pineda, but he also had 11-3-1 Paul Jennette who lost a squeaker 100-90 on all three cards

Yes...I know but he had been offered another fight for a belt prior to the Pineda fight! That was my point...all it took was two fights...after three fights, he has turned down TWO Title shots!
