Golden Boy Promotions has been VERY quiet lately. I wonder why?? Good question. I'm wondering if it might have something to do with 50 Cent jumping into the arena, although I can't imagine why they'd be keeping quiet if they feared defections.

BC- They also kind of have egg on their face over some of their frontline fighters losing to substitutes. You don't see Top Rank fighters losing to Josesito Lopez-types because they didn't do their homework, or foolishly taking on Lamont Peterson in Washington, DC because they were overconfident.

OR you COULD look at it like they are actually trying to match them better....TR puts their guys in with slugs most of the time....

I think when things fall apart and a change has to be made in a fight, Golden Boy tries to salvage things and put on the best fight they can, whereas Top Rank is shameless in trying to make a lemon into lemonaide.
