Am I the Only one who thinks.....

OK...don't kill me too much here, but am I the only one who thinks the following:

1. La Bomba is over-rated and despite the HBO team saying he belongs in the conversation with the top Super MW's, I say he is nothing special. He stops throwing punches and gets hit way too much. Bute, Ward, Froch, Johnson, etc, etc, etc....all beat him easy.

2. Sergio Martinez looked great...in the end....against Macklin and Barker, but they are brawlers who don't even try to box. IF Floyd OR Manny ever fight Martinez....they BOTH beat him! Floyd very easily....Manny...he still may be too small, but as long as Martinez doesn't catch him...Pac beats him. Sergio fights with his hands down and fighters with superior hand speed will beat him.

On the first part, I think they certainly went overboard on La Bamba, I'm less sure that Martinez only looked good because of styles, but it's an interesting observation.

Maybe Sergio is just too big for Manny...but Floyd eats him up. Floyd is able to avoid punches for the most part...Manny walks into them at times and THAT could put him down and out against Martinez.

Agreed, Floyd's shoulder roll defense is superb and would give Martinez difficulty penetrating it, whereas Manny would be coming forward into Sergio's shots, like walking into the blades of a electric fan.

The only thing is that its more exciting to watch someone get busted up rather than watching FMJ stay out of harms way...and Martinez "waiting for opps"

i think with Sergios speed and awkwardness, it would be him giving MW trouble. Im not neccesarily picking Martinez to win, but I think it would be a very good fight and the one I would prefer to see out of the "big" fights

It IS the one I like the best, but I see my MAIN MAN Floyd beating Martinez with a one-sided decision in what will be viewed as a boring fight.

could well be a boring fight, but i can deal with boring if the top guys are fighting each other....its when they cherry pick opponents and bore us... that is the real problem
