PLEASE.... DaveMa must be sucking off a Corona Bottle! I like fighters who fight. I like fighters who back up their BS with SOMETHING. I like fighters who will fight through a cut and will never look for a way out.....wow...there aren't many left, huh? LOL
Daxx....the REASON I think Cunningham is "done" is NOT because of he Ross fight, although my opinion of him dropped because of the way he acted. He is done because of the same reason Dawson did not win against Pascal....he didn't fight enough. I know people blame King for that, but still. In boxing, the good ones, fight often. EVEN in today's boxing, a good fighter or a fighter at his best, fights three times a year. There ARE exceptions of course, but it does catch up. Cunningham DOES go down and as you get older, it is harder to get up. I think Huck beats him up bad IF he fights him again.
BTW....if you listen to ANYTHING that comes out of DaveMa's mouth...........

Billy C.- It's amazing the number of people who don't realize that Cunningham is already 34 years old. Because of the late start, they think of him as much younger.

The truth is....he has NOT looked that good! Its great AND exciting for a fighter to pick himself up off the canvas and win. HOWEVER....as you age, the more it happens (the older you get) the more long term effects will happen. You begin to slow down, both offensively AND defensively. Cunningham was a very good fighter, but due to nature (his age) and his inactivity, I think he may be close to done....if not done already. I know it sounds stupid especially when he holds a belt, but then again, today's belts can't even hold up a pair of pants, let alone tell us if a fighter is good or not. All I know is that in the CW division, I think that Huck, Ross, Lebedev and Erdei are all ahead of USS on my rankings sheet. I got him at number 5.

Billy C.- I don't see anything wrong with your assessment, some people mistakenly think that inactivity will extend a career, and will point to things like Foreman missing ten years or I've even heard some suggest that with Vitali and how this three years he missed is helping him to fight effectively a bit longer that he would if he'd been fighting straight through. That may or may not be true, but for a guy like Cunningham, who started at the age of 25 and really didn't have the long buildup beforehand to hone his skills, I don't see him benefiting from the inactivity, is just the OPPOSITE.

Right. Foreman is the exception and V. Klit was always in shape and it WAS injury.
