Update on some Brits:
- Heavyweight: Fury did very well against Chisora this past weekend putting himself directly behind David Haye in skill in the list of British heavyweights (but ahead of him on heart).
John McDermott will fight David Price later this year in a British title eliminator.
- Light heavyweight: WBO champion Nathan Cleverly and British/Commonwealth champion Tony Bellew look like they will probably clash later this year.
- Super middleweight: Carl Froch fights Andre Ward in Atlantic City on October 29.
James DeGale fights Piotr Wilczewski on September 17 in London for the European title.
- Middleweight: European champion Darren Barker challengers Ring champion Sergio Martinez on October 2.
- Light welterweight: Amir Khan beat Judah comprehensively this past weekend and is now a p4p top 10 fighter IMO.
Paul McCloskey fights Breidis Prescott in a WBA title eliminator on September 10 in Belfast.
- Lightweight: Kevin Mitchell proved he's the top lightweight in Britain by beating John Murray in 8 rounds a few weeks ago.
- Super featherweight: Ricky Burns made the third defence of his title since he won it against Roman Martinez 10 months ago. He needs a step up in competition. He is looking for a fight with Mzonke Fana which would be for the Ring magazine title as they are ranked number 1 and 2.
Gary Sykes will defend his British title against the only man to beat him Gary Buckland on September 24. Buckland stopped Sykes in the super featherweight version of Prizefighter in October 2010.
- Super bantamweight: British champion Jason Booth will defend his title against undefeated prospect Scott Quigg on October 8.
Exciting prospect Carl Frampton takes a big jump up in class as he fights Kiko Martinez for the European title on September 10.
- Bantamweight: Britain and Europe's two best bantamweights Jamie McDonnell and Stuey Hall go head to head on September 3 for the British, Commonwealth and European titles.

I'm wondering if I should cut and paste all my replies to this particular thread on the various forums we share?

Ryan Rhodes targets Prince Arron fight
By Chris LaBate
According to The Star, junior middleweight contender Ryan Rhodes (45-5, 31KOs) is considering a possible fight with British champion Prince Arron (21-3-1, 4KOs). Rhodes is going to pick himself up from the June knockout loss to Saul Alvarez and wants to target the European title. Before the European title opportunity, he wants to test himself with a Prince Arron showdown.
“I want that European belt back (he won it in 2009) and then we’ll see if I can get another world title crack. First I’ll have to have a warm up, somebody who can test me, perhaps Arron," Rhodes said.

Hard Knocks Promotions: TV deal with Premier Sports
By Terence Dooley
Spencer Fearon’s Hard Knocks Boxing Promotions have secured a six-fight TV deal with Premier Sports. The UK TV channel will begin their coverage of Fearon’s atmospheric shows by televising Hard Knock’s October 7th York Hall ‘This Is Hard Knocks’ bill, the full line up will be announced shortly.
‘The Spirit’ created Hard Knocks in order to provide boxing fans with as many fifty-fifty fights as possible, stressing that the company aims to bring quality pugilism to a younger generation by promoting raucous, well matched shows. They have lived up to their billing thus far and now hope to transfer that success to TV.
“How can I be denied when I bring everyone under one roof,” enthused Fearon during a conversation with Boxingscene. “I live this game and the game is living for me. Thanks to all my Hard Knocks supporters and Facebook crew. Premier Sports have proved they are a company with a passion for boxing and we are delighted to be joining forces with them.
“Hard Knocks’ shows in 2011 have produced an atmosphere unmatched in British boxing and we are ecstatic to get the platform to demonstrate to more people that the hype surrounding us is justified. We pledge to pack each of the six fight bills with evenly matched, exciting fights. With Hard Knocks every fight is a main event and the fans are the biggest winners.”
