According to the West Australian , former IBO champion Danny Green (31-4, 27KOs) is heading right back in the title picture. The Australian star has reached a deal to face WBC cruiserweight champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk (45-2-1, 32KOs) of Poland on November 30th at Perth's Challenge Stadium. It will be Green's first fight since getting knocked out in July by Antonio Tarver. Green had initially pushed for a rematch with Tarver, but appears to have passed on exercising the rematch clause. Even before the Tarver fight, Wlodarczyk had pushed for a meeting with Green in Australia.

Wlodarczyk has a better record and is a much better fighter than Green. Green should have to travel to Europe to fight him. I don't see how Green is even getting a fight for a World title on the back of a loss. It's not a bad fight but i think Green should have had to earn it.

The Australians spend big, at least in the case of Danny Green, and that's why it's in Perth. When the Aussies have someone on the World Level, even in case of a limited fighter like Green, they usually DO come out and support him, whether the fighter is worth their time or not. I wish other countries were half as supportive of fighters that are considerably better.
