The funny thing is...anyone who is or considers themselves a "Die-hard boxing fan" is what this event and future ones are geared for. To be honest...I would rather have less people and have it the way it was, then to have more people and have issues. The people who came wanted to and that is what I want! Those who wanted to and didn't, missed out for sure!

Follow-up: I have been getting emails from everyone who attended...not ONE person is going to miss next years! Now all we need to do is make a decision WHERE we are having it. Some people, like Marlon Starling, thinks we should give the area we had it in time...I like it because its closer to me...but I think we will have to see if we can get any sponserships to have it someplace else. All in all....a GREAT time. Check out FaceBook for pics and stories!

I think Marlon has a point, these things take time and they do get easier with repetition, but your tirade about the "local hillbillys" probably doesn't bode well. Sounds like they deserved it though. Btw, Haugen left some notes on FB about how sorry he was and wondering if you were still wanting him to do the show......yeah, right.

Just my opinion but i would think New York,as it as access with the airports and available hotels. If you fly into New York,it means shelling out more money to get to the Banjo Playing Outback like Glen Falls.

BC. it probably depends on who's running the show in New Mexico, but I do know that trying to coordinate things from 2000 miles away instead of just down the street probably presents some problems, and also think that having done it once then the current group has some experience to build on. One other positive for keeping it where it is is that Marlon sounds like he wants to come back if it's in N.Y.

We may look into Albany...which is about an hour from me, but the thing is, as long as there is community support, no matter where it is, we can get the resources to bring in fighters.
