I had Kahn up a point at the end, even with the two deductions in the 7th and 12th, but I had no problem with the official judges, several close rounds and it could've gone either way. Didn't like Joe Cooper taking a second point in the last round, the holding while there, was not that egregious. I'm disappointed that that point in the 12th ended up being the deciding factor (it would've been a Majority Draw otherwise), but it wasn't like Kahn hadn't been holding, although Peterson did some on his own as well and wasn't called on it. In the end, a close fight that could've gone either way, but like most of our recent "robberies" it was nothing of the sort. Robbery is the most overused word in our sport

I picked Kahn, but the truth is...you can't win when you don't let your hands go.

I had it 104-103 to Khan going into the final round and i gave the last round to Peterson 10-8 so Peterson won 113-112. Although i seem to be in a minority of people giving the final round to Peterson. Had i given it to Khan and it ended 9-9 (because of Khan's point deduction) then i'd have scored the fight 113-113.

I do think the point deduction is ultimately what cost Khan the World title. I'm not so sure anybody should be deducted 2 points in any fight let alone a World title fight and especially not 90 seconds from the end. I don't think it was an awful hometown decision though as i think Peterson may well have been up on the scorecards going into the final round because it was a very close fight. Most people seem to have Khan winning but i think it was maybe a bit closer than that.
I agree with BC though on his show today saying Khan should blame himself because he let the fight slip away from him. He was in control early on and then he coasted to the finish line allowing Peterson to land freely and get him caught up in the ropes. It wasn't intelligent boxing. He doesn't need to move so much. He can sit down on his jab more and throw heavier punches while slipping out of the way of returning punches.
