Not sure what they will do now because even if they put a new guy in to face Green the winner would have to win by KO to get in the final four.
Do you just scrap it and make the final 4 start now with Ward vs. Dirrell & Froch vs. Abraham

Wow....not sure what they do now, but I would try to move on with who they have. Why add another guy? If it were up to me, I would drop Green and move on with the other four.

Its a tricky one,or give Green step aside money and put him on one of the shows might work.

I think they should just go with the 4 dropping Green, although I will say if they add someone else to fight Green and they know they have to score a stoppage to get in the final 4 it could be a great fight!

I think Lou DiBella may be thinking that! He is kissing ass so that they DON'T drop Green, which I think would be the best thing to do too.

I don't know what kind of contract DiBella negotiated with Showtime for Allan Green's services, but I imagine it was a "Just Happy to Be Here"-type deal that doesn't force them to pay him anything for a canceled fight. I also don't think Green WANTED to stay in anyway, he was sure to take a second loss that would've ruined his career. He's probably secretly DELIGHTED at the Cancelation, the guy who hunts for excuses just got handed a way out.

At this stage they were dropping two guys anyway and one was sure to be Allan Green. Just do Ward-Dirrell and Abraham-Froch and everyboy can move on. Showtime can toss Green a Bone with some co-feature down the road if they can't just send him on his way already.

Screw Green..get him out of there, he cant beat anybody in the tournament anyway

Other then being put out on thier own EG points in the end injuries etc are they all contracted to get a certain amount of fights for this EG 2 or 3 bouts....If they just dropped him would there be financial obligations to be met?,,,,I am not certain of how the contract details went for the signing other then the tourney rules....If Green was going to be paid I don't think DiBella could give a shit less

with the exception of Ward the losers of the next two fights will both have 2 points ... so let Green fight Bika or Andrade and say that the winner will lose any tie breakers so they have to win by KO.
That would make for an exciting fight ... but in the end I say just go with the final four we have and move onto a BW super six or whatever is next.

Mike- If Abraham loses to Froch, AA still has 3 pts (thanks to the KO of Taylor), but your right that the scenario most people expect is with Dirrell and Froch likely losing and finishing with 2 pts. But why eliminate one of them to be replaced by a Green,Bika, or even Andrade who Ko's a guy? Showtime can make a Green-Bika fight and toss it on some upcoming Card. Don't add to the problem by keeping Green and another sub involved in what becomes a glorified ESPN fight. As you say, move forward and not back.

Forgetting the SS for a monent and just speaking of Kessler, rumores are he will more then likely end up having to retire....They are hoping the eye heals in 9 months or so I believe the presser stated if that is the case and Kessler is forced to retire it would certainly remove one of the best SMW's in the world forever and plus the guy will be forced to retire before his time....I am not sure exactly how reliable the presser is other then the he is out of the SS as everyone now knows....They have a tendency to over dramatize certain things to build up more attention to a situation even one that does not need added hype.....Also I don't know if anyone else has heard this or not unless I missed a post but supposedly this problem started right after the Ward fight and they were hoping it would go away but after the Froch bout it progressed....anyone else hear the same?

If he's seeing double, which is the information as I understand it, then it's NOT something that will "go away" with nine months off, that's for sure. I really wonder about it when they say something like that, it sounds like trying to put the best face on a bad situation.
I hadn't heard anything about it being a carry over from the Ward fight, but have to assume that he passed the normal vision tests required for Froch, so would call that information into question. Unless it was something that happened once, then cleared up and then was reaggravated, which really isn't the way eye injuries usually work. Usually a vision problem doesn't lay dormant and then reappear.
